Who are United Methodists?

The United Methodist Church is a global community that believes in opening hearts, minds, and doors through active engagement with the world around us. Our mission is simple: to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

A United Methodist is someone who lives out this mission by putting faith and love into action. We believe that God’s love is for everyone, and we’re called to share it. In the United Methodist tradition, we emphasize the importance of grace and serving others. Through Jesus Christ—his teachings, death, and resurrection—we experience the fullness of God's love and care.

Ministry and Missions

United Methodists affirm, "The ministry of all Christians consists of service for the mission of God in the world"

We seek to live lovingly and justly as servants of Jesus Christ by healing the sick, feeding the hungry, caring for the stranger, freeing the oppressed, being a compassionate presence, and working to develop social structures that are consistent with the gospel.
